Living the Dream with Raw Frosting

Like the title?  It even rhymes  :)   I think dessert takes the cake this week, specifically The Rawtarian's Chocolate Cake with Chocolate Frosting.

Since my plan was to make this cake for valentines day, I figured it wasn't too late so I still shaped it like a heart.

I cannot say enough good things about this frosting.  It might just be my frosting of choice for both raw and non-raw cakes.  If you gave this to someone and didn't tell them it was raw, they would think it was just normal frosting.

The other dessert that I made was a hummingbird cake from Sweetapolita.
 Was reminiscent of a carrot cake.  Same type of frosting.
 I can't get over the fact that there is over 7 cups of powdered sugar in this frosting...but hey, it tasted good!

Other weekly adventures included:
BBQ Chicken Sammiches and a Spinach salad with spinach, goat cheese and roasted beets

3 Grain Energy Bar from Daily Garnish - I really wanted to like this...my co-worker liked it...maybe it needed to be cooked longer?

Mushroom Walnut Pesto Tart from Oh She Glows - I liked this but the bf wasn't too fond of it

With the leftover phyllo dough, I made some dessert wraps: Chocolate & Marshmallow, Chocolate and Peanut Butter & Chocolate and Heath Bar Pieces.   These were super easy and amazingly good.


Holiday Soup for the Soul from Oh She Glows - WOW!  The flavor in this was fantastic!

Spinach and Artichoke Stuffed Crust Pizza - Yum, Yum and YUM!
