The garden is finally 100% planted. Last month I planted the tomatoes, cauliflower, watermelon and some carrot seeds. Everything except the carrots were planted indoors before hand.
The carrots didn't end up sprouting... I think 2 factors played into that: 1) It has been very dry and hot 2) The seeds were a year old. I don't think the dog played a part in it...
But who knows! haha There are reasons why I put a fence around the garden...and this is one! Last year I put up a green mesh fence that was not very pretty. This year I used 4 posts and some yarn. It won't keep out the rabbits and deer, but they weren't an issue last year, so I guess we will see.
Here are the watermelon hills.
And here is the entire garden. You can barely see the red yarn. Where the carrots used to be, I planted zucchini. In the far right row I planted cucumbers.
We have a few trees growing in the planters.
I am sure that the garden would have looked better watered, but this is the best I can do for now :) It is representative of the 90+ degree weather we have been having as of late.
Hopefully rain is coming soon...I am sure watering every morning will get old...
