Mother's Day Brunch - Bagel Station & Yogurt Parfait Bar

Happy Mother's Day!

For the mothers in my life, I made a great brunch spread.

We started with mimosas.

Then had 3 main courses:

Tofu Veggie Scramble and Home Fries from the Oh She Glows Cookbook

A bagel bar, inspired by this Bon Appetit Article.  Using the bagel recipe found in a Half Baked Harvest Recipe.

Aaaand....  A Yogurt Parfait Bar!!!  Chia Jams: Blackberry, Blueberry Vanilla, Apple Pie & Strawberry Rhubarb.  I used this granola recipe as a base to make 3 different flavors: Peanut Butter / Chocolate / Cranberry; Cashew / Dates / Orange Zest; Pistachio / Hazelnut / Ginger / Cherries.

It was a good day  :)

I hope your day was a good one too ;)

  1. Hi. I found your blog while search induction slide in ranges. Wondering how you've liked your GE? and also curious if you ever vented it? (noticed the kitchen design showed an over head vent)-- our old JennAir downdraft has pooped out. I can't imagine blocking the open view we have created (like you) with a hood/vent...
    Just curious.

  2. Hi Christine,
I really love my GE range. The induction stove top is great - heats things up very quickly. Only downfall was that we needed to get new pots and pans to work with the induction technology. We'd always thought we would put a vent in that would hang down in the opening between the kitchen and dining room but have not done so yet. So, it might stay open the way it is now! Haven't had any major issues as of yet with not having a vent. Thanks for reading :)
