Raw Thanksgiving Desserts

This Thanksgiving, my mom took the lead on the main dishes, so I focused on desserts.  I've been trying to eat less added sugar lately, so decided to make all no-added-sugar recipes.

Vegan, Raw, Gluten Free Tiramisu
I was able to make this at home 4 days before turkey day and freeze it.  It tastes best if it is thawed for a few hours before serving instead of frozen.  This dessert was the most popular one.  It was very smooth, creamy and tasty!

Vegan, Raw, Gluten Free Pecan Pie
I was also able to make this pie ahead of time.  This was my least favorite pie.  Not bad, just not amazingly good like the others.

Vegan, Raw Gluten Free Carrot Cake
I tripled this recipe and it made a lot of cake! With the carrots being raw, I thought the cake was quite good. Not as good as a 'real' carrot cake (hahah) but quite an acceptable replacement. I made this the day before Thanksgiving.

Vegan, Raw, Gluten Free Pumpkin Pie
I made this recipe a few days ahead of time too which was a real time saver. Having raw pumpkin in it, I was VERY skeptical. The recipe stated that if it sat for a few days that it would taste better, which worked for my schedule. This was my favorite dessert. The crust, the filling, all awesome!

Vegan Pumpkin Swirl Cheesecake
This one has quite the story.  My mom wanted to be able to "eat pumpkin pie for breakfast for many days after Thanksgiving".  So, I decided that I needed to make two of these.  I doubled the crust, which worked fine, and then doubled the filling, which did not work as well... Doubling the filling was more like quadrupling - I had enough for 4 pies.  So - we used the leftover filling to make french toast!  :)

This brings us to the end of my photo free Thanksgiving dessert post.  If I were to make raw Thanksgiving desserts again, I would make the Tiramisu and Raw Pumpkin Pie.  Go ahead and make them!  Even your full sugar loving friends and family will enjoy them  :)
